Free street parking on El Cajon Blvd and the residential streets north and south. It's rarely a problem, but read the signs on the side streets for street-sweeping days, which are ticketed early in the morning and catch people who leave a car overnight. Do not park in the adjacent business lots — they tow.

MTS Route 1 and the Rapid 215 both run along El Cajon Blvd and stop within a block. The 215 is frequent and connects to downtown and SDSU, making Soda Bar one of the few small venues in the city that's genuinely bus-accessible. Rideshare is cheap here because it's outside the surge zones.

Along the bar rail if you want to hear your friends. It's the compromise position and locals use it.

No formal policy — it's a bar. Reasonable bags are fine, there's no bag check, and security is a doorman checking IDs. Don't bring anything you'd mind holding all night, because the room is small and there's nowhere to set it down.

Full bar with cheap beer, well drinks, and a genuinely good whiskey selection for a room this size. Beers run $6–$9, cocktails $10–$13 — among the cheapest venue prices in the city. No kitchen, but the block has food.
