Who we are
Sandi Spots is an independent San Diego travel and lifestyle guide published by Sleep Coast LLC, a California limited liability company. All guides are written and edited by the Sandi Spots Editorial team — San Diego County residents who report on the places they cover. Read more about the team.
How we research
- First-hand visits. Restaurants, beaches, breweries, hotels, trails, and venues we recommend have been visited by a member of the editorial team. If we haven't been somewhere ourselves, we say so in the guide.
- Primary sources. Prices, hours, parking rules, closures, and event details are verified against official venue calendars, city and county pages, park services, and operator booking systems.
- No AI-invented facts. Specific claims — a price, an address, a policy — are checked against a real source before publishing.
How we keep guides current
Every guide carries a real "last updated" date derived from its publishing history — never an auto-refreshed timestamp. Event listings are refreshed daily from venue calendars. Seasonal guides (holiday events, summer, winter) are reviewed before each season. When a business closes or a rule changes, we update the affected guides rather than leaving stale copy in place.
Corrections
If something on this site is wrong, tell us and we'll fix it. Email hello@sandispots.com with the page and what's inaccurate. Substantive corrections are made to the guide and its update date is revised.
Ownership & funding
Sandi Spots is 100% independently owned by Sleep Coast LLC. We are not owned by, affiliated with, or funded by any hotel group, restaurant group, tour operator, tourism board, or media conglomerate. The site is funded by affiliate commissions and advertising.
Affiliate disclosure
Some links to hotels, tours, and rentals earn us a small commission at no extra cost to you. Commissions never determine whether a business is included, how it is ranked, or what we say about it. Businesses cannot pay for inclusion, placement, or a positive review.
