Why these are worth checking
San Diego is easy to plan badly from inland weather alone. A sunny forecast in Mission Valley can mean a grey beach, a clean-looking forecast can hide a rough ocean, and a perfect Tijuana day can end with a two-hour northbound queue. These pages put the live reading beside the local context that makes it useful.
Each utility identifies its source and what the number means. NOAA supplies the tide predictions, Open-Meteo supplies the marine and weather readings, CBP supplies border waits, and each camera links to the organization that operates the feed. Numbers can change between refreshes; safety decisions belong with lifeguards and official agencies.
For a beach day, open the tide table first, use the surf report to pick a coast, then check a nearby camera before getting in the car. For a cross-border trip, compare the live vehicle and pedestrian rows before deciding whether to park at San Ysidro and walk.
A note about live data
Public feeds occasionally pause, cameras go offline, and model readings are not a substitute for a spot forecast. If a panel is unavailable, its page explains the fallback official source. Always obey posted beach closures, lifeguard flags, marine warnings, and border-agent instructions.
