Copley Symphony Hall inside the Jacobs Music Center is the San Diego Symphony's indoor home, and after a multi-year renovation that reopened in 2024, it is acoustically a different building than the one longtime attendees remember. The gilded 1929 Fox Theatre bones are intact; the sound is new.

Park in the garages on B St or Broadway ($10–$20 evenings) or take the trolley to Civic Center, two blocks away. Best seats are center orchestra rows J–R and the first rows of the first tier. Several downtown garages sit within two blocks on B Street and Broadway, generally $10–$20 for an evening. The Symphony publishes recommended garages with its concert reminders — those are the ones with reliable post-concert exits. Street meters are free after 6pm and on Sundays, which works for weeknight concerts and rarely for weekends.

Transit & rideshare
Civic Center trolley station on the Blue and Orange lines is a two-block walk, and the Santa Fe Depot for Coaster and Amtrak is about a mile west. Downtown bus routes on Broadway and B Street stop within a block. Weeknight classical concerts end early enough that transit schedules are not a problem.

Rows A–E are too close for orchestral repertoire; you hear whichever section is in front of you rather than the whole.

Bag policy
Small bags and purses only. No backpacks, no outside food or drink, no photography or recording during performances. Latecomers are seated only at a break in the program, which for a symphony concert can mean waiting through an entire movement.
