Torrey Pines packs eroded sandstone canyons, endangered pine groves, and a Pacific overlook into a two-mile loop that almost anyone can finish. Do it as a loop that drops to the beach and returns along the sand at low tide. Go early — the lots fill by 9 AM on weekends.
Local tip: Park at the north beach lot and walk up to skip the reserve entrance fee and the summit lot wait.
