Coronado Beach parking is free. Ocean Boulevard has free unmetered street parking running the length of the beach with a posted time limit on some blocks, plus small free lots at Central Beach near Avenida del Sol and at the north end by Dog Beach. It fills by about 10 am on summer weekends and stays full until late afternoon. If Ocean Boulevard is full, park one or two blocks inland on the residential streets — still free, still a two-minute walk. The Hotel del's valet is the expensive fallback at roughly $50-plus for the day, and it is rarely necessary. The genuinely easy option is skipping the car: take the ferry from downtown to the Ferry Landing and rent a bike or take the 904 bus across the island.

The main beachfront street, with free parking along its full length and direct sand access at every crossover. The stretch in front of the Hotel del is the most contested; the north end past Avenida de las Arenas turns over more.
Local tip: Drive north to south. Most people stop at the first crossover and never see the open spots further along.

A small free lot beside the lifeguard station with restrooms, outdoor showers and the widest section of sand. It is the first thing to fill on any warm day.

Serves Coronado's off-leash dog beach at the north end near the Naval Air Station fence line. Fills early with regulars; the surrounding streets absorb the overflow.
Avenida de las Arenas, Isabella, Marina · Free · no permit zones
The answer nobody uses. Blocks like Isabella Avenue and Marina Avenue sit a two- to four-minute walk from the sand and usually have space even at noon on a Saturday. Watch for street-sweeping signs.
The bridge backs up badly on summer afternoons and holiday weekends. There are better ways in.
Broadway Pier to Ferry Landing · ~$8 each way · 15 minutes
Runs roughly hourly from the Broadway Pier and Convention Center landings. Lands you at the Ferry Landing shops, a mile and a half from Central Beach — rent a bike there or take the 904 bus.
Ferry Landing / Silver Strand · Rentals ~$10–15/hr
Flat, protected and the fastest way around the island. Bike racks at every beach crossover, and you skip the parking problem completely.
