The Zoo fills a full day for nearly any age, the hillside layout keeps most paths shaded, and the animal collection is genuinely world-class. Ticket prices are high, but the hours-per-dollar math is better than any other paid attraction in the county.
Local tip: Ride the Kangaroo Bus first to scout the park, then walk back to the exhibits your kids reacted to.
