Nico's is a late-night taco shop in Point Loma and Ocean Beach, and the California burrito is a reliable order when nothing else is open. The carne asada is salty and chopped fine, the fries are plentiful, and the cheese, sour cream, and guacamole combine into a rich filling. The tortilla is large and the burrito is wrapped tightly enough to survive the car ride home. It is not the most refined version, but it is exactly what you want at midnight after a long day.
