Active duty and family members in San Diego get care through Naval Medical Center San Diego (Balboa) and a network of branch clinics at 32nd Street, Point Loma, Coronado, Miramar, and Camp Pendleton, plus civilian network providers under Tricare. Veterans use the VA San Diego Healthcare System, anchored by the La Jolla medical center with community clinics in Oceanside, Escondido, Chula Vista, Mission Valley, Sorrento Valley, and Imperial Valley. The two systems are separate: enrolling in one does not enroll you in the other.
