A neighborhood tradition going back decades: residents build large hand-painted plywood 'cards' and light the whole loop. Walking it is far better than driving it — you see the detail and you skip the queue of cars.
Local tip: Park a few blocks out on a side street and walk in. Weeknights before December 15 are calm; the last weekend is bumper to bumper.

The city's biggest holiday event — free museum entry in the evening, food booths from dozens of cultural houses, choirs, and the park lit end to end. It draws hundreds of thousands of people over two nights.
