Downtown Embarcadero · outdoor venue
Quick answer
The Rady Shell is the San Diego Symphony's outdoor bayfront venue on Embarcadero Marina Park South, downtown. Buy seats or lawn tickets directly from the Symphony, plan for a 10-15 minute walk in from Convention Center-area parking or the Trolley, and bring a layer — bay evenings get cold even in summer.

There are no general visiting hours — the Shell is open for scheduled performances, with gates typically opening about an hour before showtime. Jacobs Park itself is public green space during the day.
There is no dedicated Shell lot. Most people use Convention Center-area garages, the Fifth Avenue Landing lot or downtown garages and walk 10 to 15 minutes along the bay. Downtown event traffic is heavy when the Convention Center or Petco Park has something on the same night, so check both schedules before driving.
