Harbortown Pub
Point Loma
A neighborhood pub that kept showing Chargers games after the move and kept the regulars who wanted them. Small, loud when it's full, and not a tourist room.

The team left in 2017. The fans didn't all leave with it.

Chargers games are still shown across San Diego, but the fan scene is scattered rather than concentrated. Harbortown Pub in Point Loma and Dirty Birds in Ocean Beach have historically drawn the most reliable bolt crowds, with pockets in Pacific Beach and Chula Vista. For any Sunday, the safest plan is a full-slate bar — Tavern at the Beach in PB shows all games on dozens of screens, and Tom's Watch Bar downtown has audio zones so you can hear the Chargers feed specifically. Because the game is often not the day's marquee broadcast in this market, call or check Instagram the week of, and arrive 30 minutes before a 10am kickoff to claim a table with sound.
| Spot | Area | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Harbortown Pub | Point Loma | Longest-standing bolt crowd |
| Dirty Birds | Ocean Beach / PB | Multiple locations, all games |
| Tavern at the Beach | Pacific Beach | Every NFL game, dozens of screens |
| Tom's Watch Bar | Downtown | Audio zones per game |
| South Bay sports bars | Chula Vista | Strong local fan base |
Point Loma

Ocean Beach and Pacific Beach
Wings, screens, and a crowd split between whichever games matter that week. Reliable for a Chargers feed on request.
South County
The South Bay held onto its Chargers fan base as strongly as anywhere in the county. Neighborhood sports bars along Third Avenue and Eastlake are the ones to try.
Pacific Beach · All 32 teams
The blanket-coverage option. If your group cares about three different games, this solves it. Sound goes to the biggest matchup, so bring the request early.
Downtown · Audio zones
Zoned audio means you can sit in a section where the Chargers feed is the one you hear. The most controllable environment downtown.
Practical if you're visiting and staying near the stadium corridor — every game, no parking fight, and a short Trolley ride from downtown.
Fan-club affiliations and screen assignments move around. A quick Instagram check or phone call the Friday before saves the drive across town.
West Coast early games mean brunch-hour crowds. Arrive 30 to 45 minutes early for a table with sight lines on a big matchup.
SoFi Stadium in Inglewood is roughly two hours north without traffic, closer to three on a Sunday afternoon. Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner plus a rideshare is the low-stress version.
Yes. The team moved to Los Angeles in 2017, but the games are broadcast here and many bars — especially in Point Loma, Ocean Beach and the South Bay — still carry them.
There is no single official bar the way there is for many out-of-town fan bases. Harbortown Pub in Point Loma and Dirty Birds are the closest to a consistent gathering point.
The franchise relocated to Los Angeles after the 2016 season following a failed stadium funding effort. Snapdragon Stadium was later built on the old Mission Valley site for SDSU, San Diego FC and the Wave.
About 120 miles, roughly two hours without traffic and often closer to three on a game day. The Pacific Surfliner plus a rideshare avoids the driving.
Tavern at the Beach in Pacific Beach carries the full slate on dozens of screens, and Tom's Watch Bar downtown uses audio zones so you can hear a specific game.
