SDSU Aztecs men's basketball plays at Viejas Arena on the San Diego State campus from November through March, with Mountain West conference play running January into early March. The arena holds roughly 12,400 and is built into a canyon, which makes it one of the loudest mid-size venues in the West — the student section, The Show, is the reason. The Trolley Green Line stops at SDSU Transit Center directly beneath campus, a five-minute walk to the doors, and it is by far the best way in: campus parking structures fill and empty slowly on big nights. Non-conference midweek games are cheap and easy to walk up to; ranked conference opponents and rivalry nights sell out.

Best overall view
Sections along the sidelines put you close without the distortion of a baseline angle. Prices jump for center court, but a couple of sections off center is usually far cheaper for a nearly identical view.
Local tip: Aim for rows 10–20: high enough to see plays develop, low enough to hear the bench.
Loudest
The student section end is the noise engine of the building. Sitting near it is the full Viejas experience and a poor choice if you want a quiet night.
Cheapest
Steep, but the arena is small enough that even the top rows feel connected to the game. The best value seats in San Diego sport on a weeknight.
SDSU Transit Center sits underground at the edge of campus. Trains run from Downtown, Old Town and Mission Valley, and post-game trains are far faster than the parking structure queue.
Parking structures on Canyon Crest and Parking 6 / Parking 12 are the usual event lots. Pay via the posted app or kiosk, and note that structures empty slowly for 20–30 minutes after the final buzzer.
Drop-offs cluster on the College Avenue side. Surge pricing after a sold-out game is real; walking two blocks toward El Cajon Boulevard before requesting usually helps.
Cheap taco shops, wings and student bars within walking distance of the arena — the default pre-game strip.
A short drive west for a better beer list and a quieter post-game table, if you would rather not eat among 12,000 people.
Two Trolley stops away and full of hotels, which makes it the practical base if you are coming in for a game weekend.
