F&B minimums (food + beverage spend requirement) are always negotiable during off-peak dates (Sunday–Wednesday) and off-peak months (January, February, September).
Rehearsal dinner peak booking windows are 4–8 months ahead in Coronado and La Jolla — start there and work outward if you're inside that window.
Ask specifically about A/V: 'Do you have a projector or HDMI-capable TV, wireless mic, and Bluetooth speaker in the room?' Not every 'private room' has any of these.
Corkage fees vary wildly — from $25/bottle to $50/bottle. Some rooms allow zero outside wine. Confirm before assuming BYOB.
For groups over 40, always request a menu tasting 4–6 weeks before your event. Most restaurants offer this free for confirmed bookings.

6–8 weeks for weekday events and small rooms; 3–6 months for weekend dates, buyouts, and rehearsal dinners in Coronado or La Jolla; 8+ weeks for Addison and other Michelin-level rooms. Summer weekends (June–August) and holiday season (November–December) sell out first.
