South Bay mini golf is old-school family-entertainment-center mini golf: themed concrete courses, arcade attached, bumper boats or go-karts on the same ticket, and pricing set for a family of four rather than a date night. Chula Vista holds the county's best surviving examples of the format, which has largely disappeared from the coastal neighborhoods.
Tiki Town is the better pure putting experience — two full courses, so 36 holes is a real afternoon rather than a twenty-minute lap. Golf N' Stuff is the choice when mini golf is one item among several: the bumper boats and arcade are the actual draw for younger kids, and the combined ticket is decent value.
Both are far better in the evening — inland South Bay afternoons run hot, and the courses have almost no shade. Combo tickets covering multiple attractions cost meaningfully less than paying per activity.
